In 1993, Abo Galal, a sole proprietorship company, was established with a small showroom that could accommodate a maximum of three microbuses and employed only four staff members, providing microbuses to commercial companies and consumers. 

In 1996, Abo Galal Company expanded its business by starting to sell a limited number of private cars.

In 2006, the founders of Abo Galal acquired a 2,100 m² area consisting of an administrative building and an open space in Hihya City, Al Sharqia, to meet the increased demand that required expansion, and they moved the headquarters to this new location.

In 2010, Abo Galal Company became a distributor of Golden Dragon microbuses supplied by Arab Group for Trade and Distribution, Foton microbuses supplied by Transport Vehicles Distribution (TVD), and Brilliance cars and microbuses supplied by Brilliance Bavarian Auto.

In 2015, the founders acquired an area of 1,500 m² to establish a separate entity, ‘AGC Auto’, as an Egyptian Joint Stock Company, aiming to empower and boost their market share in the private cars market and to handle the increasing number of transactions and clients.

In 2018, AGC Auto was ranked as the biggest car dealership in Al-Sharqia and one of the biggest in Delta. The founders rented a storage space of 10,000 m² in Abou Rawash with a capacity of 450 cars, and AGC Auto entered both the used cars and luxury cars markets.

In 2019, the founders acquired another showroom for AGC Auto with an area of 150 m².

In 2020, they established a subsidiary company named ‘AGC Used’ after AGC Auto gained a notable share in the used cars market. AGC Auto also became a distributor of Haval Automotive and Changan Automobile supplied by Ghabour, Jetour supplied by Nour Eldin Elsherif Company, Forthing supplied by Al-Rakhaa RTC, and GMC supplied by Transport Vehicles Distribution (TVD). Moreover, it became the exclusive dealer and general distributor of Zemex Microbus supplied by the Egyptian British Automobile Manufacturing Company.

In 2021, the founders acquired a new branch in the 10th of Ramadan City from Osool Housing and Development, with an area of 1,800 m² and a capacity of 60 cars, expecting to start operating in June 2023. This branch is located in Al-Osool Mall in the banks area, which is considered the largest entity for car trading in the 10th of Ramadan City.

In 2022, the founders established another subsidiary company under the name of ‘AGC Scooters’ and became a distributor of SYM Scooters. The founders also changed the name of Abo Galal Company to ‘AGC Motors’ to conform with the new laws imposed by the government. Additionally, AGC Motors and AGC Auto became an exclusive distributor for Khalaf Bus.

In 2024, AGC Auto focused on entering the eco-friendly vehicle market while expanding operations through new branches. This included acquiring a showroom in Cairo to become a distributor of Chery vehicles supplied by Ghabour. Additionally, a new showroom was established for Renault in Ismailia Governorate within Carrefour, marking AGC Auto as an authorized distributor for Renault vehicles supplied by EIM. These steps aimed to diversify offerings and reach a wider customer base.

In 2025, AGC Auto will focus on expanding its operations and enhancing its offerings to reach a wider customer base with a diverse range of vehicles. This year, AGC Auto became an official authorized distributor for the Proton brand and acquired a new branch in Carrefour Ismailia to provide convenient access to Proton’s latest models and services. Additionally, in February, AGC Auto secured authorized distributor status for JAC and Citroën, reinforcing its commitment to offering a wide selection of vehicles and an enhanced automotive experience across all branches.
